Twenty years ago, my mother Caroline sat at her kitchen table with a sewing machine, a few metres of fabric and one simple idea: women over forty deserve clothes that make them feel beautiful. Not clothes that hide them, but clothes that celebrate them.

She started by making dresses for friends. Then for friends of friends. Before long, women she had never met were asking where they could find "that dress Jean wore to the wedding." That was the beginning of Ravolla.

For twenty years she has chosen every fabric and checked every piece herself. She always said: "If I wouldn't wear it, I won't sell it."

This winter, she has decided it's finally time to rest. Time for her garden, her grandchildren and the long walks by the sea she always promised herself.

The pieces on this page are her final collection. We won't reorder them and we won't remake them. When a size sells out, it's gone for good.
